About this role

Headquarters: Paris

Join the team redefining the future of global living.

At The Flex, we believe renting a home should feel instant, intelligent, and effortless — as seamless as booking a ride.
Our ambition is bold: enabling anyone to live anywhere, anytime, without friction.

Powered by Base360.ai, our proprietary automation engine, we’re building the operating system for modern renting — connecting property data, orchestrating operations, and enabling seamless stays across continents.

If you love building products end-to-end, obsess over user experience, and enjoy owning real systems used in the real world, this role is for you.

What You’ll Build

As a Senior Product Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and operations.

You’ll own features from idea to production — shaping the product, designing the system, writing the code, and shipping improvements that directly impact guests, operators, and partners.

This is a role for engineers who think in products, not tickets, and who care deeply about usability, performance, and outcomes.

️ Your Mission

Own Product Features End-to-End
Design, build, and evolve core product experiences across web applications and APIs.

Build for Users
Translate real operational and user problems into simple, intuitive product solutions.

Ship Fast, Learn Faster
Release frequently, gather feedback, and iterate relentlessly.

Design Scalable Systems
Build clean, maintainable architectures that scale as the platform grows.

Automate the Experience
Use automation and intelligent workflows to remove friction from both guest and operator journeys.

Collaborate Closely
Work hand-in-hand with product, design, data, and operations to turn ideas into impact.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have

  • Strong experience building user-facing products as a senior engineer

  • Comfort working across frontend, backend, and APIs

  • Experience with modern web stacks (React, Node.js, cloud-native platforms)

  • A strong product mindset — you care why something is built, not just how

  • A history of shipping features that users actually love

  • High standards for quality, performance, and UX

  • A bias toward execution and ownership

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Direct User Impact
Your work will shape how thousands of people live and move around the world.

High Ownership
You’ll own meaningful parts of the product with real autonomy.

Fast-Moving Team
Short feedback loops, constant learning, and zero bureaucracy.

Performance-Based Rewards
Competitive compensation with upside for high performers.

Remote-First
Work from anywhere — outcomes matter more than hours.

This Role Is Not for You If

  • You want to work only on backend or isolated components

  • You prefer tickets over ownership

  • You’re not interested in user experience or product outcomes

  • “Good enough” is good enough

Why we flagged this for parents & caregivers

FlexCareers scored this listing 50/100 on parent-friendliness based on the language the employer used in their own posting. We did not see explicit parent-friendly keywords (async, part-time, flexible hours, parental leave) — but the role is fully remote, which is the baseline filter for inclusion on FlexCareers. Read the application page closely and ask about parental leave, expected meeting hours, and core overlap windows during your first conversation. Employers who answer those questions clearly are usually the ones who'll respect the boundaries later.

Questions worth asking before you apply

  • What are the required core hours of overlap, and which timezone are they in?
  • How is on-call or after-hours coverage handled?
  • What does parental leave actually look like — duration, pay, ramp back?
  • What's the expected response time on Slack / chat outside of meetings?
  • How does the team handle a sick kid day or a school pickup window?
